Before we can connect with the energy permanently, we must eradicate our particular way of controlling others because whenever we return to this habit, we are disconnected from the main energy source. During childhood, we learned how to get attention as a means to gain energy and we constantly repeat this control drama. Hence, becoming aware of our personal manipulation technique helps us to change our behaviour towards other human beings.

These strategies always develop in relation to parents, so each person must reinterpret his family experience. Everyone manipulates for energy either aggressively (directly forcing people to pay attention) or passively (playing on the sympathy or curiousity of others). If your parents ignored you because they were preoccupied with their career, you would have to interrogate them to find fault and undermine their world. The interrogator asks questions and probes until they find something to criticize making the person self-conscious and defensive about revealing information.

The aloof controls situations by withdrawing and appearing mysterious and secretive. They tell themselves they are being cautious but secretly want someone to be interested and view them as an enigma. The intimidator threatens physically or mentally forcing the person to pay attention out of fear. They can only react with violence or by appealing to their mercy, guilt-tripping them about the harm they’re causing. The poor me complains the whole world is against him or her, implying the person listening is responsible and informing them if they fail to help, the victim will continue suffering. Everything they say and do makes you feel you have to defend yourself against the idea that you’re not doing enough for the person.

The process of finding your true spiritual identity involves looking at your life as one long story, trying to find a higher meaning. Ask yourself, why was I born to this particular family? Every human being illustrates with their lives how he or she thinks a human being is supposed to live. What do your father and mother’s lives represent? You must discover what he or she taught you and what about his or her life could have been done better?

We are not merely the physical creation of our parents but the spiritual. Your path is about discovering a truth that is a higher synthesis of what these two people believed. This is the problem your parents were unable to reconcile, it is your evolutionary question, your quest this lifetime. Each of us must look at the significant turns in our lives and reinterpret them in light of our evolutionary question. Try to perceive the sequence of interests, important friends, coincidences that have occurred in your life. The truth you are pursuing is as important as the evolution of the universe itself for it enables human evolution to continue.

Humans are born into their historical situations and find something to stand for, then form a union with another human being who has found some purpose. Their children reconcile these positions by pursuing a higher synthesis, guided by the coincidences. Children take the vibration of their parents and raise it higher. This is how human beings continue evolution. Nowadays we are ready to do this consciously and to accelerate the process. No matter how afraid you become, you now have no choice. You will always sense that you are missing something, if you try and do something else with your life.
